Ms. Ricchi received the “Insegna Del Ristorante Italiano” from the President of Italy, Luigi Scalfaro, for establishing one of the best Italian restaurants in the world outside of Italy. She is also the recipient of the Piero Bargellini Award of Excellence, given by the city of Florence for her accomplishments in the revitalization and advancement of Italian culture in the United States. Recently, she was named a “Woman Power Player” by Nation's Restaurant News and “2002 Hospitality Ambassador of Washington, D.C.” by the Metropolitan Restaurant Association and the Washington Post.
